Running lotteries in multiple regions requires consistency for compliance as different areas have varying regulations. The client needed to implement a new, efficient, unified container management solution to deliver their fresh micro-services based product.

Our standard engagement model requires LiveWyer to fully understand the business value they are delivering through an initial discovery phase. Our team embed themselves with key teams and resources to generate a long term view of the project, clear delivery milestones and an initial backlog of tickets/tasks with dependencies. For this case, we also built a proof of concept Kubernetes platform across multiple cloud providers to demonstrate to stakeholders the concepts and technologies we would deliver as a final product.
Working closely with multiple teams and third parties, we were able to successfully migrate a traditional Java technology stack to micro-services based architecture. Project scope ran to designing, building, operating and supporting staging and production environments across AWS and vSphere platforms.
The agile nature of Cloud Native technologies, coupled with LiveWyer’s expertise, meant that the approach to the project could be frequently revised to take advantage of the latest requirements. Regular demonstrations, feedback and meetings with the key stakeholders kept everyone onboard and driven by the advances we made as a group.
Leveraging Cloud Native development allows us to deliver a significant amount of our output as source code during the project’s lifespan. This provided immediate cross-team visibility and encouraged active dialogue as components were developed. To ensure continued success of the project any cross-team knowledge gaps were identified and bespoke training sessions were mutually developed and delivered.

This allowed developers to focus on developing end services, the in-house Operations teams to extend a single solution and the business to focus on delivering value whilst maintaining a new core intellectual property.
